Welcome to Chard and District RDA

Chard and District RDA is a charity based in Somerset, we are dedicated to providing riding opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Our mission is to help improve the lives of disabled riders through the therapeutic benefits of horses.

 

 

We hope you all had a lovely summer and enjoyed the amazing weather.  We welcome back riders and volunteers during the week beginning 20th September.  If you are interested in riding or volunteering with us please do not hesitate to get in touch, you would be all very welcome. 

Our volunteers have been very busy through the summer both with planning and training and we are all looking forward to seeing all your happy, smiling faces.

We cater to a wide range of disabilities, including physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. 

How can I get involved as a volunteer?

We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and levels of experience.  Our volunteers range in age from students volunteering to work towards their Duke of Edinburgh award to adults who enjoy meeting new people and being part of a team.  Please contact us for more information on how to get involved.

What safety measures are in place for riders?
Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our riders. We provide thorough training for all staff and volunteers, and adhere to strict safety protocols during all sessions.
